Business Administration oversees the fiscal management of the Libraries as directed by the Dean. This includes everything from planning the budget to closing out expenditures at the end of each fiscal year.
Cataloging and Metadata Services processes several thousand items in many different formats and languages each month. Every item receives a cataloging record in Florida State's on-line bibliographic database, that accurately describes the items and reflects its subject content.
The Circulation department handles the lending and retrieval of library materials. These materials include reserve items, textbooks, journals, and books. They can assist you with renewing items, and borrowing.
The Claude Pepper Library was established in 1985 as the official repository for the Claude Pepper Papers, a unique and multi-faceted collection of manuscripts, photographs, audio/video recordings, and memorabilia by and about U.S. Congressman Claude Pepper (1900-1989).
Our Collection Development department (Serials & Acquisitions Services) acquire and classify monograph and serial titles in all languages and formats (e.g., books, serials & periodicals, maps, music, audiovisual, electronic resources, etc.) that meet the Libraries' collection scope.
