FORMIS is a composite of several ant literature databases.  It contains citations for a large fraction of the world's ant literature (over 50,000 references).  FORMIS contains all known ant taxonomic literature (through 1996).  It also contains comprehensive bibliographies of leaf-cutting ants, fire ants, and Russian wood ants.  FORMIS also contains extensive ant literature before the 1970s.  For further details please see contributions and credits.

FLI Online contains approximately 700,000 citations to articles, film reviews and book reviews published between 1976-2001. The Film Literature Index (FLI) annually indexes 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries cover-to-cover and 200 other periodicals selectively for articles on film and television. The periodicals range from the scholarly to the popular. More than 2,000 subject headings provide detailed analysis of the articles.

Indexes "essays and articles contained in collections of essays and miscellaneous works published in the United States, Great Britain, and Canada. More than 300 volumes are indexed annually. Additionally, more than 20 annuals and serial publications such as Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society, The Supreme Court Review, Dickens Studies Annual, and Anglo-Saxon England are indexed. In addition to analysis of individual essays, the Essay and General Literature database also provides full bibliographic information on collective titles indexed.
