About
During the transition to remote learning due to Covid-19, our engagement team quickly pivoted our in-person engagement program to an online environment. This multifaceted approach included developing online final week activities through an online finals page on the website, a QR code tour of the Strozier Library with subject-specific support, and ongoing online book displays on the Libraries’ blog.

Outcomes
The outcome of this pivot was the continuation of our engagement and outreach services for students despite the challenges of the pandemic and a new platform for our engagement team to explore in supporting student success.

Success
Success has been measured by analytics for the finals’ events pages from Google as well as blog page views.

About
Building on our successful partnership with International Programs, the Libraries continued to enhance our orientation session for the First Year Abroad/First Semester Abroad (FYA/FSA) cohort through development of a Canvas “Libraries Abroad” course with a guided library and information literacy module coupled with asynchronous Zoom session, required for all students at the Valencia and London campuses. Additionally, we participated in the campus-wide International Education month through the coordination of panels in 2021 and 2022 with invited speakers from our international campuses as well as international librarians at NYU and Penn State to discuss important issues and advances in international librarianship and information literacy abroad.

Outcomes
The outcome of this is increased engagement with our study abroad programs as well as promotion of our international library work within the Libraries and across campus.

Success
Success has been measured through an online assessment tool as part of the module as well as feedback from study abroad staff and students.

About
In order to build on our library presence in Canvas and capitalize on our FSU Libraries for Students course which automatically enrolls all current students, our Distance Library Services team launched the “Strozier Scoop” as student-focused library newsletter disseminated via the course announcements two to three times a semester. This newsletter promotes library events, services, and resources as well as other campus support services. Additionally, in order to fill the library orientation gap from the university-wide transition to remote learning during Covid-19 we developed a library orientation module in the Student Canvas course, providing an introduction to library resources, services, and information literacy available to all students.

Outcomes
The outcome of this resource is an additional platform for library communication, promotion, and engagement.

Success
Success has been measured by Canvas analytics for views of the Strozier Scoop as well as the module. Additionally, the orientation module includes an assessment in the form of a quiz that is being used to continually improve the resource.
