Exhibition Guidelines and Application Requirements

The FSU Libraries Art in the Library Committee program hosts artwork drawn from the FSU community on a semester-long basis across multiple library venues. This exhibition program is meant to highlight art from the FSU student body, but FSU faculty may apply with the knowledge that student proposals will be given priority.

Prior to submitting an application, please review the Expectations for Exhibition. If selected for exhibition, you will be asked to sign this document as an artist agreement before installation day.

Application and Exhibition Timeline

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please see the application deadlines if you wish to apply for a specific semester. Applications submitted after the posted deadline will not be considered for current exhibition cycle.

  • The Art in the Library committee will review and select from the pool of applicants within 2 weeks of the posted deadline. Successful applicants will then be notified and provided with the FSU Libraries Art in the Library Exhibition Expectations Agreement.
  • Applicants invited to exhibit for the coming semester will be asked to confirm their commitment, including arrangements for pre-installation meeting and interview as mentioned in the Exhibition Expectations.
  • Installation will take place 1 - 2 weeks before the next semester classes begin.
